She is born 9/19/09 at 11:23pm. She weighed 6 lbs 8 ozs and was 19.5 in long.

Liam's 18 month

We went to the doctor this past Monday for Liam's 18 month check up. Well, this boy has always been large and the doctors are not afraid to say so. This time he came in at 36 1/2 inches, which is off the charts as far as height goes. And he weighed a respectable 29.5 lbs. This was in the 90 something percentile. The doctor told me, "Don't be surprised if people always think he is older than what he is. He is quite big. Much bigger than most boys his age." I wanted to say, tell me something I don't know. People have been thinking he is older than he actually is since the day he was born! Looks like I may get my football player after all!

Flagstaff!

We took a trip to Flagstaff and visited some good friends of ours. We took a small hike while we were there and I was amazed at how much the kids liked it, especially Berlynn. She didn't want to turn back until we made it to the top! We will for sure be doing some more hiking in the fall!

The girls sure do love their dog. And Sammy is so good as she puts up with all their antics. She even goes into the fort they make and will stay there as long as the girls want her.

Liam is trying to help Daddy with all those wires. He just wishes Dad would let him get a little closer!

Liam and his trusty vacumn. He actually vacumns at least once a day. And, pushes around with me the whole time I am vacumning. He has actually graduated and now when I am finished with the real one....he gets to run it around for a few minutes. It is so funny to see him wait patiently and then look at me when I hand it over as if to say...."Really, for real? I am getting a turn?! Thanks!"

Little Man!

I couldn't resist putting some of these pictures up of The Boy. He has turned into such a little man and is so much fun. Always off to some adventure or trouble! I love this picture because to me, it is typical of a man. Even though he is sleeping, he is still holding firm to the essentials....food and drink! Nope, not even sleep will separate this boy from his snack!

A nice front view of the haircut, and the bruise above his eye. The bruise came from a run in with a metal shelf at the library. Needless to say, we won't be trying to climb on those again!

All dressed and ready to go to church and the boy wants to go out back and play. Oh, I didn't mention that it was probably already 100 degrees outside. Oh well, he didn't care.

Two Princesses and One Prince

The girls have two tea sets and the put them to use quite often. Berlynn serves Raspberry tea with Raspberry Cream and Strawberry sugar. It is quite an elaborate spread and such particular order to things. She is quite the hostess. I happened to come across all three of the children sitting down to a tea party......PEACEFULLY! I had to capture the moment or else no one would ever believe it....including myself!

As you can tell, the girls love to dress up. I was making dinner one evening and came around the corner to get something from the pantry to discover the children....relaxing on the cool tile with the dog I guess. Hey, whatever makes them happy! This was before Liam knew I was behind them...Oh, hey, I didn't know you were back there? When did you get here?

I think what was going here was a little bit of Sleeping Beauty and Handsome Prince. Actually, I think Liam was just giving his sister "love". Regardless, it is pretty cute!

This was what I heard as Berlynn went out to give the dogs water, one of her daily chores. This of course was the highlight of the day and I think we heard about this for weeks. They sure do love geckos which are yard seems to have an abundance. I don't mind though. The eat the spiders and mosquitoes....and....they are kind of cute....kind of.....

Wish we had a real pool! But, this sure works to avoid the heat and still be outside! The kids love swimming! These pictures are from the first part of the summer. Since then the kids have been through swim lessons with MUCH improvement! In fact Berlynn and Alana can.....well, I should save this for another post!

Yes, occasionally we let the kids take the dogs for walks. Actually, the dogs (and kids) do suprisingly well together. This picture here is my favorite. I mean, Millie is pretty much as tall as Alana!

Millie did great in letting Alana walk her around and did a perfect job "heeling". I wonder if she knew that all she had to do was put some of her weight in one direction and she would have been free. I would like to think she was enjoying have Alana walk her as much as Alana enjoyed holding the leash!

Daddy and Berlynn go to Nascar!

Derek was lucky enough to have a friend get him tickets to the Nascar race. He decided to take Berlynn given her love of the movie Cars, which has turned into a love of race cars in general. She had so much fun with her daddy watching all the cars.

to be faithful in writing and posting pictures in here. For reals this time! I have made it a goal to post once a week and at least put the highlights of the week and post a few pictures. At least that will force me take more pictures, which my husband has been requesting for the last few months. But, I will post a few now to get caught up on some of the good ones I missed putting up. Then, I will continue...to be more consistant!

A Tip to Flagstaff

We have some friends who live up in Flagstaff which is a mere 3 hour drive from home. Derek was working for a few days straight and my friends husband was out of town so we decided to be "alone" together. We did lots of fun things while we were there, such as visit Santa!

Liam didn't really have much of an opinion of Santa. However, he throughly enjoyed the candy canes he was passing out!

One of the mornings we were there we woke up to a couple of inches of snow. The girls were overjoyed! Berlynn couldn't wipe the smile off of her face! Then of course, there is Liam and me.

The mountain behind their house. There is also one in front of their house, but for some reason I don't have a picture of it.

This picture cracks me up. Actually what comes to mind is Christmas Story. He really couldn't move let alone put his arms all the way down. It was funny watching him try to get around.

Yes, she loved the snow so much that she is swimming in it.

Alana loved the snow as well. She is just more dainty about it than Berlynn.

are not soon parted! He was so excited that he finally got a balloon of his own. He just kept looking at it and making it bounce up and down. When I went to get him out of the car....there he was. Sound asleep. With the balloon firmly clutched in his little hand. How cute?

A trip to the Zoo

We took a trip to the zoo in the beginning of November. We had fun and the kids sure do love it! We always laugh because Berlynn calls it "the ka-zoo." So, in her words..."I LOVE the ka-zoo. We need to go back again!"

Liam of course was a Notre Dame Football player. I mean what else could he have been? He even had a hat to go with his official jersey. I just somehow managed to not get a picture of it!Even Daddy got into the Notre Dame spirit! I see another movie in the making; watch out Rudy!

There he is! Lucky number 7! Of course, we don't believe in luck of anykind unless it is the "Luck of the Irish!"

We went to the Pumpkin Patch this week and picked out our pumpkins! Well, mom did and the girls just ran around looking at all the HUGE pumpkins! We could barely get them to sit still long enough for a picture. Then, Liam kept making a weird face every time the camera would click. Oh well, they may not be the best pictures, but they work!

It is finally nice enough to play outside again and that is what we have been doing quite a bit. The girls love playing on their playground and sandbox. Liam loves doing, well, what Liam does. Crawl around in the grass! BOYS!

I personally think they are pretty cute! We were at 110 degrees on Monday and Tuesday and then it rained all day yesterday and today. The high temp yesterday was only 68 and today only 65. Talk about drastic. Did you notice the outfit in this one Grandma? Thank goodness you sent it because I didn't have anything else warm to put on him.

We had a rainy day in Arizona today so we played at our neighbors house. Berlynn and her little friend made paper necklaces. It was their "preschool project". They had a lot of fun, but Berlynn didn't wear her necklace long as it "tickled" her neck.

Here is little Liam...or not so little anymore in a walker for the first time. I wasn't sure if he could handle it...but he has proven that he can! Yep..he is going to be my Notre Dame football player!

Growing Children Playing Dress Up....well, not Liam

We had an eventful weekend with my friend that came to visit. These are the pictures that she took with her camera and sent to me. The girls love playing dress up and she had them strike a pose for the camera. And there is the chunky monkey Liam. He is gaining weight at a ridiculous rate. He is doing very well though and only woke up once last night! Oh, the other pictures show Alana with her large amount of jewelry. We have figured out that she is going to be the prissy one. That is ok though, we love her anyways!!!!!

Well, there they are!! They of course are so cute when they are still! It happens on such rare occasion, that I am still shocked that it was actually able to be photographed. But, there they are. They are doing really well, and for the most part, they all get along. Liam doesn't quite do his share of quarreling yet, however, the girls do well without him. Actually, they don't fight that often. Only if someone steals a toy or decides that the other's turn is up. All and all, they get along quite well. Berlynn and Alana do come up with some really fun and inventive ways to keep themselves busy. They love to go "shopping". They always bring mama back a smoothie or milk. Whichever "the store has". I am hoping that this blog forces me to take more pictures and upload them more frequently to keep everyone up to date. That way, the kids aren't in there teens before anyone see the pictures in my camera!
